Park Stewards are our core volunteers, giving time on a casual or regular basis as suits individuals best.
Parklands put aside two days each week for our Rangers to work alongside Park Stewardship volunteers, covering the broad experience of ‘how to’ care for our bush parks and reserves.
Experiencing some of the most spectacular reserves and high quality conservation areas in our region, with a variety of practical park maintenance/improvement tasks, volunteers learn about the local environment and how local land managers and community groups are working to protect threatened species, improve habitat and link habitat corridors across the region.
This is invaluable experience for those interested in, or studying for, an environmental career; a great chance to meet like-minded people, clear your head and get some exercise; an opportunity to maintain community involvement when you retire, or just a good way to give back to our community.
