This Bush Technology walk combines a guided walk in our local bush with a hands-on lesson in using a simple app to contribute data to the Atlas of Living Australia.
Sightings and photos can be recorded in a few simple steps and added to Citizen Science projects, improving the data on unique and endangered species, movement of species and much more. Great for bird watchers, bushwalkers, Landcarers, and has many other uses.
Parklands Ranger Danny Jones will lead this walk with the Friends of Nail Can Hill. All are welcome.
Download the OzAtlas App (Android and iPhone versions available) and bring your phone along for a hands-on experience of Citizen Science.
When: Sunday 22nd April, 10am to midday.
Where: Meet at the water hydrant on Nail Can Hill, Pemberton St, West Albury (see map below).
What to bring: Smartphone with OzAtlas app downloaded. Water bottle. Please wear a hat and covered shoes and be sunsmart!
