Event Date: Sunday 30th August
Families, friends and dedicated volunteers are invited to join us at WAW's very first Banking on Trees planting day on Sunday 30 August, 9am-12noon.
WAW’s Banking on Trees program is revegetating the bushland of local communities, contributing to a better climate, supporting biodiversity and creating better living conditions.
This inaugural planting morning will support the work of Wodonga Landcare's new Friends of Ewart Bros Reserve group on House Creek in Wodonga. We will be planting native grasses, shrubs and trees where invasive plants have recently been removed, to restore native habitat in this much-loved urban waterway.
Please bring your own gloves and a small spade to allow for optimal hygiene and social distancing practices. We will be managing social distancing at the event, with only a small number of people allowed on the site at one time. To enable social distancing, please book a timeslot on our booking page here.
Warm clothes, closed toes shoes and a water bottle /thermos are a must. Hope to see you there!
