Restoring Swainsona Reserve

Restoring Swainsona Reserve

Event Date: Friday 20th April

Learn about the magnificent native flora of Swainsona Reserve in Restoring Swainsona mornings.

Swainsona is one of the jewels of our regional parks - home to the rare Swainsona Pea and a range of beautiful and unusual native plants. The reserve continues to flourish with hands on help from community volunteers, and these 2-hour guided restoration walks provide a perfect opportunity to learn about the flora we protect and how to conserve this beautiful bush park.

This will be a hands-on walk and bush restoration experience with Parklands rangers. Be prepared to get your hands dirty as we identify plants and learn how to remove invading weeds.

When: Friday 20th April, 9-11am

Where: Meet at the Ridge Walking Track carpark, Felltimber Creek Rd, 3.3km west of Melrose Drive roundabout.

What to bring: Water bottle and your own gardening gloves if you prefer. Wear a hat and closed-in shoes/boots.

RSVP: Please let us know you're coming! Register on our Eventbrite page.
