Event Date: Wednesday 25th August
Sorry - we've had to postpone due to lockdown. We'll be back!
Join Parklands Rangers and our River Stewardship volunteers on Wodonga Creek to experience the 'how to' of caring for the riverine environment of our local waterways.
As part of our River Stewards program, Parklands Rangers will take you through practical tasks like planting, weeding, and monitoring native fauna. At the same time, you will learn about the local riverine environments and how we can improve habitat for both terrestrial and aquatic native fauna, and protect threatened species.
When: 9.30 to 11.30am (2 hrs)
Where: Diamond Park on Gateways Island. Meet at the old railway bridge on Wodonga Creek. See map below.
What is supplied: All tools and any specific safety equipment needed.
What to bring: BYO drinking water. For your safety, please wear covered shoes (preferably boots), long pants, long sleeves and a hat.
Please register! Sometimes things change at the last minute and we need to be able to contact volunteers. Book in here for the dates you'd like to attend so we can all be prepared.
First time volunteering with Parklands? Then there's one more form to fill! Please fill our one-off Volunteer signup form to save time on the day.
