Caring for Country park stewardship morning

Event Date: Monday 9th August

In our 16 week Caring for Country program, Parklands Ranger Danny Jones will be joined for our regular weekly park restoration sessions by First Nations guide Richard Kennedy.

Richard is a cultural tour guide, traditional land manager and craftsman. He was one of Burraja Cultural Centres first cultural tour guides and has extensive experience in local bush crafts and interpreting country for community members. Richard will share a First Nations view of the landscape we work in.

Come along for one or all sessions, as we find out what the bush can tell us and work on the practical tasks that are protecting threatened species, improving habitat and linking habitat corridors across the region.

When: 9.30 to 11.30am (2 hrs)  

Where: Gateway Island.Meet at the end of Harris Rd, on the Murray river.

What is supplied: All tools and any specific safety equipment needed.

What to bring: BYO drinking water. For your safety, please wear covered shoes (preferably boots), long pants, long sleeves and a hat.
