Spotlighting Night Walk on Gateway Island, with Ranger Dan

September 19, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Event Date: Wednesday 19th September

What’s going on in the bush tonight? Join Parklands Rangers to find out!

Ranger Dan will lead you on a night adventure spotlighting for nocturnal native wildlife along the Kiewa river.

Parklands have been working with the community restoring the native plants to the area in recent years to support native wildlife. We’ll be looking out for possums, gliders, owls and more…

This is a family friendly event.

  • When: Wednesday 19th September
  • Where: Meet at the carpark where the Murray Valley Hwy crosses the Kiewa river at Killara.
  • What to expect: We will be walking on unpaved natural surfaces, uneven in places. It may be cold.
  • What to bring: Please wear warm clothes, closed shoes and bring a personal torch, and remember; quiet is key!
  • Weather Watch: This walk will go ahead unless there are floods, thunderstorms or heavy rain predicted.

Registration prior to the event is essential for communication, safety and insurance purposes. REGISTER HERE

This community event has been made possible with the support of the Victorian Government and the Ross Trust.
