Danny has been a Field Ranger with Parklands since September 2007.
Why you are involved with Parklands?
I got my start with Parklands in July 2007 with a joint partnership with Corrections Victoria. I was employed by Parklands in September 2007 and I am the Community Engagement and Field Ranger. I love the challenge, flexibility and variety of work we do. There is no lack of work and it is great to be always busy.
What do you bring to Parklands?
I believe my strong work ethic and the outdoor skills obtained from growing up on a dairy farm, combined with my people skills, help in the day to day operation of my role. I enjoy the bush and it’s beauty. My two favourite jobs are spraying and brush cutting; which there is no lack of at Parklands Albury Wodonga.
What is your most memorable experience with Parklands?
My most memorable experience would be taking two French tourists out in the field in January 2014. The look on their faces when we saw cicadas, kangaroos, deer and a tiger snake up close is something I will always remember. It was priceless. That’s what I love about Parklands the most, showing people our local environment, sharing my passion and enthusiasm and providing them with an opportunity to connect with nature and our beautiful country.
