Parklands Albury Wodonga Ltd is a Company Limited by Guarantee. An honorary Board of Directors oversees the governance of this not-for-profit social enterprise and sets the strategic direction.
The Board of Directors are skills-based, bringing a diversity of skills, experience, networks and strategic approaches to the way the organisation operates.
The "systems entrepreneur leadership approach" of the Board of Directors in tackling complex social, rural development and environmental challenges has been recognised both locally and at state level through Awards, such as Excellence in Innovation at the Albury Wodonga Chamber of Business Awards 2014 and the finalist for the "Leadership and Innovation Awards" at the Victorian Regional Achievement Awards 2015.
The current Board of Directors consists of;
Chairman and Albury City Council Representative and Business Owner / Operator
Deputy Chair and community representative with background in health, tourism operator and Baranduda Landcare Group Committee
Secretary / Treasurer and community representative with background in Accountancy and current Director of a number of community and business boards
Community representative with background in Agriculture, Education and Principal of Wodonga Senior Secondary College amongst many other involvements
Community representative with background in Education and Chair of Independent Retirees Superannuation amongst other interests and involvements
Community representative with background in Town Planning and experience in Local government, State government, education, horticulture and business.
