A big thank you to the team from the Australian Government’s Department of Agriculture, Water and Environment for taking the time to inspect regional projects funded through the latest Murray Darling Healthy Rivers program last week.

Board members, staff and volunteers from Parklands Albury Wodonga joined DAWE staff to check out a project covering 4.5km of Lake Hume foreshore from Spring Creek to Lake Hume in Bethanga. The project will fence and revegetate the foreshore over the next year.

The steep hills along the foreshore promise an excellent workout for volunteers on this project. Wodonga Senior Secondary College VCAL students have already put their hands up and we look forward to working with them over the summer months.

Anyone wishing to get involved with what will be a most memorable project on this stunning lakeside is welcome – please contact us for details.
