Congratulations to all who contributed to the Wodonga Men’s Shed’s legendary award as Shed of the Year 2022 last week. The award is well deserved recognition of the dedication, teamwork and skills of the members and the valuable contribution they make to our community.
Parklands are constantly amazed at the diversity of projects the Wodonga Shedders are willing to take on. Present them with a problem, and they will solve it!
From nest boxes for threatened species to bridge structures to sculptures, the Wodonga Men’s Shed team has always delivered on even our most ‘left field’ of projects. We are proud to be a part of such a strong community partnership.
In the coming three years, Parklands will be working with the Wodonga Men’s Shed to fabricate key elements of our Art and Accessibility project on the Murray River Adventure Trail.
With the support of the Australian government, this Black Summer Bushfire Recovery funded project will involve the Men’s Shed fabricating chicanes, barrier gates, seats and boardwalks. These will be installed along the Murray river to enable pedestrian access between the Union bridge in Albury and the Hume Weir.
