Year 9 students from Victory Lutheran College made short work of the hard labour of trail building last month when they joined Parklands rangers at Baranduda to create a new section of the Green mountain bike trail.
70 students, teachers and rangers tackled the work with enthusiasm, establishing 250m of new trail on the hillside near Howards Road, completing this section of the trail.
The also dismantled 500m of old farm fence, rolled it up and loaded it for removal.
VLC students have been involved with Parklands as part of their Community Service Week program for many years. Parklands appreciate the contribution of such a willing bunch of community volunteers, and look forward to another interesting project next year.
