Fisheries Victoria funded the installation of stock-proof pedestrian access along 25 km of the Kiewa River between Wodonga (Killara) and Tangambalanga.

As part of this project, 70 chicane gates were fabricated by Yackandandah Engineering and installed with the cooperation of neighbouring landholders.

This work has enabled the consolidation of riparian corridors, restoring riverine habitat for wildlife, improving water quality and improving the health of the Kiewa river.
