Sixteen year old Brody Jones put in a solid week of reserve maintenance work last week, working with Parklands Rangers around Albury and Wodonga.
Brody had 5 days with Parklands experiencing the variety of jobs a Ranger does, including fence repairs, rubbish removal, track maintenance, spraying and woody weeding. Traversing the river and hill trails of the region Brody also experienced the joys of repeated gate opening, and is now an acknowledged expert!
A Mt Beauty Secondary College student, Brody arranged this work experience with Parklands to see if the life of a Ranger might suit him. With farming in the family, Brody has an interest in outdoor work and really enjoyed working alongside like-minded people.
Many thanks Brody for your great work and good luck for the future!
