The ninth Tallangatta Tall Trestle Treadle held last weekend was one of the best yet, with over 60 riders enjoying the day.
Participants came from as far afield as Melbourne and East Gippsland to ride the upper reaches of the historic High Country rail trail and enjoy the magnificent spring weather. Riders experienced sealed and unsealed track, farmland and forests, historic villages such as Shelley, Koetong and Old Tallangatta and were kept in fine cycling form by the tremendous cooking of the Tallangatta Rail Trail committee.
A unique feature was the ground support, with bus transfers between each ride. At the end of the day ground crew piled bikes aboard three trailers and transported the participants by bus back to their cars. Many thanks to Team Mt Beauty for their fantastic support and the Tallangatta Rail Trail committee members for their awsome cooking!
