Parklands Albury Wodonga acknowledge the Duduroa-speaking people as the Traditional Custodians of the land now known as Swainsona Conservation Reserve.

This Reserve takes its name from the endangered Smooth Darling Pea, Swainsona galegifolia, which grows in the vicinity.  It is one of the two remaining remnant populations of Smooth Darling Pea in north east Victoria. Parklands continues to work in partnership with the Department of Energy, Environment, and Climate Action (VIC) in a species recovery program for the Pea.

Swainsona Conservation Reserve is a very special and peaceful place, although a significant fire in 2002-2003 dramatically changed the area.
