After 14 years as our dedicated numbers man, Phil Oates has decided to retire from his Treasurer role on the Board at Parklands Albury Wodonga.

A keen bushwalker, Phil has trekked virtually all the regional tracks and trails that are managed by Parklands Albury Wodonga throughout his time as Treasurer. Board tours to check out progress with various parks and projects were a highlight.

We thank Phil for his conscientiousness in keeping a close eye on finances, authorising all purchases, and providing Board members with an independent lens through which to view the organisation’s financial position.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Phil’s openness to challenge and ability to have robust discussions on all manner of issues around the Board table has ensured the organisation’s resilience to new and emerging issues, as well as make certain the organisation remains anchored to its core focus of community-led conservation.
