With the Murray River levels rising and summer just around the corner, Parklands Albury Wodonga is pleased to have installed a new canoe ramp at Waterworks Regional Park to improve the visitor experience and canoeist safety.

The brainchild of The Canoe Guy (David Breedon) of Murray River Canoe Hire, the new canoe ramp provides easy access to a large eddy in the Murray River, just after the second bridge on Island Road.

Rather than launching straight into the fast-flowing waters near the Murray River bridge, canoeists can now launch into quiet waters and get adjusted to their watercraft before paddling downstream on the magnificent Murray River.

To find the locations of canoe ramps, boat ramps, and to calculate distances, check out the interactive Murray Canoe Trail maps under the Murray River Red Gum Trail link on our website.

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Albury Foundation for their three-year sponsorship of the Waterworks Regional Park which also includes engaging a team of supported employees from Evolve Access Support Services to regularly mow and maintain the popular Waterworks Regional Park.
