Parklands Albury Wodonga is pleased to publish our Annual Report for 2023, reporting the achievements of our organisation over the past year against our Strategic and Business Plan, 2021-2031, and setting out the operations undertaken throughout the year by our Board, staff and volunteers to progress our objectives.

2023 has been a year of plenty, starting with plenty of water and met by plenty of enthusiastic environmental volunteers getting back on board post-pandemic.

A very wet six months required plenty of workarounds. Fortunately the resilience, ingenuity and ‘can-do’ attitude of our team meant that we were able to
– progress park restoration with thousands of native plants planted and tons of woody weeds removed,
– tick off on-ground projects like the installation of boardwalks across wetlands and minor waterways,
– kick off visionary projects like Project 66 – the 66km linking trail between Albury Wodonga and Lake Hume – and
– deliver community engagement events like our Slow Walks series connecting people with nature.

Parklands cannot express our appreciation enough for the many students, teachers and support staff, the service club members, local businesses, community organisations and passionate local residents who volunteered their time in order to take action on climate change mitigation and biodiversity enhancement. Thank you.
