This month has seen great progress in setting up the infrastructure at the Leneva Enviro Hub for all seasons, with works completed at both the Hall and workspaces used by Rangers and volunteers.
Thanks to funding from the Cross Border Commissioners Fund, local business Lopez Refrigeration installed inverter heating and cooling in the old Hall last week, just in time for winter. Parklands and the Leneva Hall Committee look forward to hosting many meetings and gatherings in this unique historic building – especially now that the beanies and thermals are no longer essential!
The combined efforts of our ‘A’ team of staff and volunteers also saw a carport installed at the Parklands work depot, providing essential shelter for wet and hot weather. At the same time, the team painted the shipping containers and put shade cloth around the depot fence, considerably improving the ambience of our workspace.
Parklands appreciate the effort. After 12 months working out of this new depot it is a relief to finally have shelter from the elements for our plant and equipment and somewhere to work in inclement weather.
