Thanks to work experience student Charlotte Sidebottom for her assistance with fencing along the Kiewa river last week. The fencing protects another section of the river corridor in preparation for revegetation this winter.
Parklands have native seedlings ready for planting this winter, with the aim to revegetate sections where invasive Black willows have recently been removed, and restore the biodiversity of the river. We welcome community assistance with planting over the next few months.
These works contribute to improved waterway health and environmental amenity for all users of the river, and are being delivered in partnership with the community and the North East Catchment Management Authority.
Parklands acknowledges the support of the Victorian government and the Ross Trust for this program.
