The Great Southern Bioblitz (GSB) of late October was a great success with 6,111 people submitting nature observations from the Southern hemisphere. The participants came from 26 countries, across 3 continents and speaking 3 different languages!
Congratulations to us Oceanians, who contributed the highest observations of fish, insects and fungi in the hemisphere.
2022 was the third GSB and the number of observations have increased 134% since the first event in 2020, providing a great source of data for communities to celebrate biodiversity and understand species health on a global scale.
