Thank you to the many people and partners who have weathered rain, flooded roadways, muddy boots and the steep slopes of Wodonga Creek to fence and revegetate 3km of river corridors and floodplain corridors over recent months.
Last weekend Rotary Club of Albury Hume joined with FC Circular staff, volunteers and a growing number of regular tree planters to fill another key nature corridor in West Wodonga. More than 1,000 trees and plants went in, completing this extensive habitat planting.
With the excellent seasons we have had, last year’s plants have grown to three times the height we would normally expect in one year. This year’s plantings look set to do the same.
Thanks again to our fantastic community for helping translate landscape scale plans into reality. This project has also been supported through funding from the Australian Government’s Murray–Darling Healthy Rivers Program, and the Victorian Government’s Landcare program.
