The carpark on Wodonga Rail Trail at Whytes Rd is now a great place to take a break and get your bike in order before heading up the trail, thanks to recent works by Wodonga Council.
Council have installed a bike repair station to complement the existing shelter and tables, complete with bike pump. Now riders can ensure those bike tyres are well inflated before embarking on the journey along this wildlife corridor.
City of Wodonga have longer term plans to widen Whytes Road at Middle Creek to make it safer for pedestrians and cyclists in the future. In the meantime, our awesome Working for Victoria team have installed a stockproof fence to keep stock off this busy road and enable an off-road alternative crossing of Middle Creek during the drier months.
Thank you to Jacksons Earthmoving for kindly donating some stepping stones to keep rail trailers feet dry – as you see below, greatly appreciated also by the Working for Victoria team!
