Last week Parklands rangers mucked in with Wodonga Urban Landcare Network staff to plant more than 700 native plants on Felltimber Creek.

With coronavirus measures preventing community planting events, some help was obviously needed to get seedlings into the ground while the season lasts.

These plants replace environmental weeds removed through a WULN project, and will extend native habitat from the McFarlands Hill reserve right into urban Wodonga. 

Rangers shared a break in proceedings with a family of Black ducks, including at least 10 ducklings enjoying the creek.

Community Ranger Ant Packer was pleased to be able to help out. “Restrictions have really limited volunteer participation for us all. Parklands are happy to help the Friends of Felltimber Creek and WULN complete their revegetation program.”
