The everlastings are out in flower at Stringbark Conservation Reserve, Baranduda.

Easily accessible and offering flat earthen walking trails, this is a great place for a quiet walk communing with nature.

The reserve is named after the most common eucalypt here – the Red Stringybark (E. macrorhyncha). With a range of native plants from delicate orchids to grand old eucalypts, and around sixty species of native birds, this reserve offers much for mental as well as physical health. Looking up into the trees on dusk, you may even be lucky enough to spot a threatened mammal such as a Tuan or a Squirrel Glider.

Ironbark Nature Trail is a 1.2km flat (16m of elevation!) bush nature trail.  Follow the green wayfinding posts and check out the interpretive signs to learn more about the natural values of this conservation area.
