Parklands Albury Wodonga in partnership with Wodonga Council are upgrading the rail trail between Osburn St, Wodonga to Maher’s Road, Bonegilla.

Excell Gray Bruni has been appointed by the council to undertake the works which include the sealing of the rail trail.

Residents and visitors are being asked to take care in and around the works area, particularly where heavy earthmoving equipment is operating. The sections of the rail trail where works are under way will be closed to cyclists and pedestrians and people asked to use alternative routes.

Parklands Albury Wodonga wishes to thank the neighbours of the rail corridor who have assisted with its general upkeep over recent years.

More than 13,000 people have walked or cycled this section of the rail trail in the past year, highlighting the significance of the trail in the local pathway network.  Your time and efforts are appreciated.

Volunteers undertake planting, weeding and mowing in the rail corridor.  For their safety and the safety of users, we ask neighbours to refrain from throwing garden waste, rubbish and furniture and planting non-native species in the railway corridor.

If you have any queries regarding this project, please don’t hesitate to contact the Recreation team at the council on 02 6022 9300 or Parklands Albury Wodonga on 02 6023 6714.
