On Saturday 7th April the Bhutanese Community Farm team fed over 300 people at the National Rural Australians for Refugees Conference.
Their efforts were met with high praise as the conference delegates tucked in to a Bhutanese feast. Eager diners followed up with second and even third helpings as the true taste of the array of spiced dishes sank in.
The Bhutanese Community Farm team have been building their repertoire and reputation through a variety of event catering jobs over the past year. Basing their menues on traditional Bhutanese-Nepali dishes (with somewhat modified chili levels!), the team use fresh vegetables from the farm whenever possible. This meal even included hand harvested wheat direct from the farm.
