The national Wild Pollinator Count runs from 13th to 20th November this year, leading in to Australian Pollinator Week.

The Wild Pollinator Count gives everyone an opportunity to contribute to wild pollinator insect conservation in Australia. You don’t need to be an expert or have any fancy gear, and it only takes 10 minutes of standing still to contribute!

The from 20th to 27th November, Australian Pollinator Week celebrates our unique insect pollinators during spring, when they are at their most active. It is a time to raise awareness of the importance of pollinators and support their needs in our gardens, bush parks and farmland.

Bees Business and Western Sydney University have developed a website and Facebook page with a great range of resources to assist gardeners, schools, councils and community groups clubs to get to know our native pollinators and help them to flourish. All resources are downloadable from the Bees Business website.

With our amazing local bush ecosystems, not to mention local farms and orchards, dependent on pollinators to survive, we encourage Albury Wodonga residents to get involved with pollinators this spring.
