Parklands Albury Wodonga recognises the passion of local residents for protecting McFarlanes Hill and Swainsona’s natural assets.
Parklands Albury Wodonga has been working with the City of Wodonga and stakeholders to build a shared vision for the regional bushlands network for many years. The draft hilltops strategy is part of this important process of seeking input from community, user groups, interest groups and other stakeholders.
Both the City of Wodonga and Parklands Albury Wodonga are keen to ensure active involvement from the community in the planning and implementation of the draft hills strategy.
People’s time and expertise is valued. It is for this reason we don’t envisage the first meeting of the advisory group happening until the collation and processing of all the feedback from residents and stakeholder groups has occurred. This will happen over the next 8 weeks.
By taking our time and putting in place the right processes, we look forward to stronger partnerships, effective community participation in decision-making and improved collaboration over the longer term.
Stay tuned for the exciting next steps in this journey!
