Perfect riding weather and a special effort by Rail Trail volunteers made the Whistle Stop High Tea on May 21st one of the best yet.

160 adults and 8 children got on their bikes and rode the Rail Trail between Huon reserve at Bonegilla and Tallangatta, some returning for their third High Tea ride.

Participants were progressively treated to a stunning selection of sweet and savoury treats for High Tea at the “whistle stops” along the route, all supplied by the Bonegilla and Tallangatta Rail Trail Advisory Groups. The superb cooking was much appreciated, as was the warmth and support supplied by the volunteers to participants.

Congratulations to the team not just for this success but for making the Whistle Stop High Tea a ‘must do’ event  in the Rail Trail cycling year.
