Parklands rangers Danny Jones, David Saxton and Shane Vanderwerf have put their welding skills and ingenuity to good use rejuvenating the old Parklands work trailer.
Assisted by a team of volunteers, the rangers used ‘down’ time during the recent wet weather to strip back the old trailer, clean it up and repaint it.
A custom made swing-out BBQ (from an old gas BBQ) was added to the front and custom made carry rack (recycled bread trays) were added, freeing up space for carrying plants and guards etc inside.
The whole trailer is now lockable and capable of carrying all the gear for a community planting day, as well as the means to cook lunch!
