Removing woody weeds in Wodonga’s Willow Park is just one of the many experiences our newest Green Army team members have in front of them over the next 6 months.
Activities like this will expose them to a range of different work scenarios and bring their Natural Resource Management skills up to best practice standard.
They will also extend their professional networks as they meet different people already working in the field and work alongside community volunteers in local stewardship groups across Albury and Wodonga.
So far, the team has focused on removing weeds in the urban parks and reserves. As the rain begins on the threshhold of winter, the team are looking forward to helping out with plantings in both urban and bush settings.
