Parklands Albury Wodonga congratulates the Repair Café team on their efforts to reuse, reduce and recycle at the opening of the Repair Cafe in Wodonga last Friday.

Seventeen volunteers set up in the Wodonga senior Citizens Centre with a variety of tools and a wealth of know-how, to take on all comers.

Volunteers included bike mechanics, clothing and textile repairers, furniture repairers/woodworkers, battery-operated appliance repairers and general handypeople! Thirty three items were brought in for fixing, twenyt five of which were successfully repaired. Well done!

As practiced re-users and recyclers in maintaining and creating parks infrastructure, we appreciate the dedication and imagination that goes in to recycling, and the great sense of achievement in making useful items from cast-offs!
