Parklands partners with a diversity of groups (Friends, Landcare, Sports Club, Service Clubs, Charities and Businesses) to offer the community fun ways to get physcially active and connect with our natural heritage. These range from community planting days, bush restoration workshops, park tours, bike rides, guided nature walks and trail runs.

Below is a list of local trail based events that are scheduled for 2016 as fundraisers for a variety of organisations, including Parklands Albury Wodonga.
Saturday 20th February: Sunset Ride to Ludlows Reserve
Celebrate the upgrade of the surface of the High Country Rail Trail from Ludlows to Huon Reserve and the completion of the Kiewa River boardwalk by taking part in a twilight ride along the High Country Rail Trail.
20th and 21st February: Ride and Run weekend
Ease into 2016 with a Sunset Ride to Ludlow's reserve Saturday 20th Feb, followed by the 2016 Hume Bank City2City Run/Walk on Sunday 21st
Saturday 27th February: Lake Hume Cycle Challenge
Start the 2016 Cycle year with a bang……and ride the Lake Hume Cycle Challenge
Saturday 20th March: Riverina Lightning Trail Run
The 'Fishy' has been revitalised, emerging flatter and faster as the 'Riverina Lightning' run. A 10km Trail run for all tastes and abilities.
Sunday 17 April: Tangambalanga Lions Club 'Milk Run'
Kiewa Tangambalanga Lions Club invite you to participate in the 6km or 10km Milk Run on the High Country Rail Trail. There will be tucker, spot prizes, water points and some great views as you run along the foreshore of Lake Hume.
Saturday 21st May: Whistlestop Progressive High Tea
As part of the North East High Country Harvest Festival, the Bonegilla Rail Trail Advisory Group, Tallangatta Rail Trail Advisory Group and Parklands Albury Wodonga invite you to get on your bike as part of this progressive High Tea.
Sunday 29th May: Riverina Endurance Trail Running Series - Race 1 Huon Hill
Series opener Huon Hill perfectly sets the tone for this series.
Sunday 26 June: Jarvis Creek Jaunt or Touring Tallangatta
Tallangatta Rail Trail Advisory Group invite you to join their annual Friends of the Rail Trail Jarvis Creek Ride.
Sunday 3rd July: Riverina Trail Running Series - Race 2 McFarlanes Hill
Elevation and views aside the track itself is an adrenalin stoker!
Sunday 31st July: Riverina Endurance Trail Running Series - Race 3 Albury Ranges
Our series finale lets us explore Albury's most famous range - Nail Can. Many have experienced segments of the area but its every corner is uncommonly trekked.
Sunday 23rd October: Tallangatta Tall Trestle Treadle
Enjoy a marvellous day of easy riding, exploring the upper reaches of the High Country Rail Trail.
