Rohit joined Parklands Albury-Wodonga in August 2015 with fellow Bhutanese visionary Tilak Chhetri, with high hopes for the success of the Bhutanese Community Farm on Gateway Island.
Originally from Nepal, Rohit spent 20 years in a refugee camp in Eastern Nepal after Nepali speaking Bhutanese people were expelled from the country. He has been in Australia with his young family for 3 years.
Rohit has recently completed a Diploma of Organic Farm Management through the National Environment Centre in Thurgoona. He is keen to put his farming background and new skills into practice to create a thriving centre where the local Bhutanese community can engage with an Australian way of life.
